Advanced Multi-sphere method: Resolved non-spherical particles

LIGGGHTS® features high-performance, open source, customizable DEM simulations.
We have implemented a second generation multi-sphere method (advanced multi-sphere method), which allows corrected handling of contact dissipation (multi-sphere method)

This remedies the shortcomings of the multi-sphere method, which are outlined in this paper

A fully parallel version of the advanced multisphere method is made availaible to customers of DCS via a commerical support version for industrial users ("Premium version")
